I know with every ounce of my being that Heavenly Father chose these children to be the ones who live in such horrid conditions because He knew that they had nothing but love to share and that through their strength they would bless another life-mine.
I spoke with my friend Ben who grew up here in Accra and asked him his thoughts. He mentioned that until he watched movies and looked at pictures of America, he didn't feel his surroundings were bad at all. This made me feel guilty for even writing what I did in my post. Almost selfish and snotty. Who's to say what horrid is? I'm sure there are people out there that think where I live isn't up to their standards but to me I couldn't feel more blessed to live where I do.
Some may think this isn't warranted but I would like to apologize for my thoughtless words. These children love their lives and I hope they always will.
They have taught me yet ANOTHER very valuable lesson!
A lesson that should have been common sense to me.
I love these children!
